WELCOME to Attention Matters for ADHD…
Where turning your challenges into opportunities begin.
Are You an Adult that is:
- Struggling with organization, planning and a lack of focus in your job?
- Having difficulties with time management of projects and /or for meetings?
- Wondering if your ADHD challenges and multitasking are interfering in relationships with your boss, co-workers or personal life?
- Feeling stress and overwhelm with your job?
- Wondering if you have ADD or ADHD?
If so, you are in the right place!
Did you know – there are roughly 8 million adults in the United States living with ADD/ADHD and only about 1 million of them are actually receiving treatment of some sort? That means that there are an estimated 7 million adults in the United States living with undiagnosed or untreated ADD/ADHD (I will refer to both as ADHD from here on).
You may ask, now how does this affect me? Well, if you are one of the 1 million adults (or know 0ne of the 1 million adults) receiving treatment, then you are much more likely to be aware of your challenges and the role that your treatment plan plays to help you with those challenges.
If you are one of the over 7 million adults with untreated / undiagnosed ADHD, It is important to increase your awareness and understanding of your challenges, and to consult with practitioners that are experienced with treating adult ADHD. Adults with ADHD have different symptoms and challenges than the symptoms seen in children and adolescents with ADHD particularly as it pertains to your personal relationships and your career.

Awareness of your challenges and treatment options is … powerful!
I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 44, after I learned that both of my young children have ADHD as well. That was over 11 years ago. Since the time of my diagnosis and treatment, I have developed a personal understanding of the challenges that we face in our careers as a result of having ADHD, how our personal challenges affect our overall ability to perform tasks and the effect that our challenges have on our lives in general. Living as an adult with undiagnosed ADHD for the majority of my life, I realize that those challenges and struggles were quite different then. This awareness has truly changed my future as well as my past.
